One of the most outstanding activities of the centenary will be the opening of different areas of the metro during the celebration of this anniversary. These are facilities that are not normally accessible to the public, and that will be open to everyone. The institutional event will be held in the Paranimf of the Industrial School and will have the highest representatives of the administrations and institutions of our country. It will take place during the first quarter of the year and the documentary "One Hundred Years of the Metro" will be presented.

From TMB Innova, together with the Barcelona Music Lab Foundation and the BIT Habitat Foundation, and on the occasion of the centenary of the metro, we will look for innovative solutions that, through music, design and art, improve the travel experience of the Passeig de Gràcia transfer (L3 and L4).

We want to celebrate the 100 years of the metro with other operators to look together to the future and new challenges. Thus, the Barcelona metro will host the COMET 2025 meeting in November, which brings together operators from all over the world.

El Coll / La Teixonera station (L5) will host a time climb next May 18, a race through the stairs of the deepest station in the metro network, with 74 meters of depth, 18 floors and 419 steps.

ALS was the charity cause chosen by the TMB staff in 2024. For this reason, we are organizing a night race along the tracks of a section of the metro network, with the aim of giving visibility to this disease. We will keep you informed!
The GenTMB celebrates the centenary
More than 4,000 professionals make it possible for the metro to function every day. As part of the celebration of these 100 years, internal celebratory actions have been designed.-
Throughout 2025, the renewed uniforms worn by the bus and metro staff will be presented.

On February 10, the Barcelona Auditorium will host this concert exclusively for metro and bus workers.

For this major exhibition, an opening party for employees and exclusive tour of the restored trains is planned, which will take place during the last quarter of 2025.
