Manage T-mobilitat for children and dependants
How can you get a T-16?
- Sign up as a T-mobilitat user
Create a T-mobilitat account and link it to your JoTMBé account. You can do this in just a few minutes using TMB Tickets or the TMB app.
- Add the child under 16 as a dependant
From your T-mobilitat profile, you can add the child in two ways:
With PICA. If the information can be checked through PICA and you give permission, you won't need to upload any documents. Validation is immediate.
Without PICA. If the information can't be checked through PICA or you don't give permission, you'll need to upload one of the following documents:
1. The child's valid DNI or NIE (front and back), or a valid passport (page with the photograph and personal details).
2. The family record book (page with the book number and the child's details) or, for children born from 2022 onwards, a digital birth certificate.
In this case, we'll need to review the documents, so validation may take up to two days.
- Add the T-16 profile to the child
Once the child has been added as a dependant, open their details from the Dependants section of your T-mobilitat profile in TMB Tickets. Select Add profile, choose T-16 and select Continue. Once the profile has been assigned, you'll be able to apply for the T-16.
- Apply for the T-16
Once the child has the T-16 profile assigned, you can order the card with the ticket already loaded onto it. The T-16 ticket is free. The card is a PVC T-mobilitat card with a dedicated design that can only hold a T-16 ticket. It costs €4.50 and will be delivered to your home in around 10 working days. You can check the status of your application in the T-mobilitat applications section of TMB Tickets.
- Activate the card
When you receive it, activate it before using your T-16. Find out how on the Activating your T-mobilitat card page.
